Greek Language School:www.ncgreekschool.org
We offer Greek Language classes at beginning, intermediate, and advance levels, for both children and adults. Our educational goal is for students to develop all aspects of Greek Language learning such as reading, writing, syntax, and grammar with emphasis on modern Greek as spoken in Greece today. Students learn about the Greek culture and history through a well balanced curriculum that include text books, poems, songs, theater skits and multimedia content. In addition, the Greek language program explores the world of Ancient Greece and Greek mythology.
Mission Statement: The Greek Language program emphasizes Greek linguistic skills, promotes the respectful consideration of different viewpoints and cultures and educates students in a multi-cultural environment.

Program Details: The Greek Language school year is divided into three quarters: Fall, Winter and Spring quarter. Each quarter consists of 10 - 12 classes. We meet once a week for two hours. The school is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas (two weeks) and Greek Easter (one week).
- Tuition for children is $140 per quarter
- $120 for a second family member
- Tuition for adults is $140 per quarter
Books cost $10 - $30 or are free, depending on the class. The tuition is due on the first week of each quarter (first week of October, January and April) and is not refundable if you miss classes. If tuition fees create a financial problem, please talk to your teacher for special arrangements.

TOPBaking Group
This group started about 1990 or 1991 when they began to bake pastries for our Greek Festival. The ladies and fellows were enjoying the fun and fellowship that has always been part of the Festival baking process and they wanted it to continue.
It started in a small way and over the years has involved into a very profitable charity by contributing $10,000 to $15,000 per year over the past 24 years to our Church.
As the years progressed, this group became a family and lifelong friendships were formed. Sadly, we have said goodbye to several of our members as they met their Maker, and the rest of our members are in their ‘70s and ‘80s which makes us wonder just how long we can continue.
Fortunately, we have a few younger volunteers, but we need more. We need men and women who can commit to come every Thursday for a few hours. All you need is an apron and a willing attitude. We can teach you the rest.
We will not be baking again until after the Festival. If you are interested, please call Helen Coukoulis at 619-223-6197 or Mimi Howland at 760-722-4741.
