WHY BIBLE STUDY? Our relationship with God lasts a lifetime

We believe that our relationship with God is a journey that lasts a lifetime. Along the path we continue to learn, develop, and deepen our understanding of God. As a church we offer many opportunities to come together and continue learning and growing as Orthodox Christians. One of those is our Adult Bible Study class with Father Michael. Please join us and bring a friend! You don't have to be Orthodox to join our Bible Study. It's open to everyone who wants to learn more about the Orthodox faith. We usually read and discuss the Epistle and Gospel lessons for the day and for the coming Sunday.
WHAT DO WE BELIEVE ABOUT PRAYER? Prayers is strength, refreshment, and joy.

"When I prayed I was new," wrote a great theologian of Christian antiquity, "but when I stopped praying I became old." Prayer is the way to renewal and spiritual life. Prayer is aliveness to God. Prayer is strength, refreshment, and joy. Through the grace of God and our disciplined efforts prayer lifts us up from our isolation to a conscious, loving communion with God in which everything is experienced in a new light. Prayer becomes a personal dialogue with God, a spiritual breathing of the soul, a foretaste of the bliss of God's kingdom.
