Baking Group
Welcome to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church - Baking Group. The Baking Group was started around 1990 when we began to bake pastries for our Greek Festival.
The ladies and fellows were enjoying the fun and fellowship so much that they wanted it to continue. It started in a small way and over the years has evolved into a very profitable charity by contributing $10,000 to $15,000 per year over the past 24 years to our Church.
As the years progressed, this group became a family and lifelong friendships have been formed. Sadly, we have said goodbye to several of our members as they met their Maker, and the rest of our members are in their ‘70s, ‘80s, and 90's which makes us wonder just how long we can continue. Fortunately, we have a few younger volunteers, but we need more!
We need men and women who can commit to come from October to Christmas every Thursday for a few hours. In addition, we also seek help during July - September when we assist in baking for the September Greek Festival. Please see the Calendar for specific dates and times.
You do not need to know how to bake, rather all we need is for you to bring an apron and a willing attitude. We can teach you the rest. Fellows please consider coming as we need your strength.
If you are interested in volunteering please contact us - we could really use your help!
