About The Event
The Nativity of Christ is one of the most joyful days in the Orthodox Church, second only to the Resurrection of Jesus. The celebration is preceded by a 40-day fast that begins on November 15. The days leading up to Christmas are marked by special commemorations that highlight the connection between the Old and New Covenants.
