About The Event
Description
This two-hour, hands-on volunteer shift might include gleaning fresh produce, packing boxes of food, or sorting through food that has been donated.
Eligibility
Ages: 6+
Purpose
FSD is the county’s leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization and the only Feeding America affiliate in the region. By volunteering, you are making a difference for the hundreds of thousands of people facing hunger in San Diego County.
Role
At the distribution center, you never know what exactly the day might bring. Gleaning plums? Building boxes? Packing boxes with pantry staples? Check. Whatever you do, you’ll leave knowing that you made a difference for San Diegans facing hunger.
