About The Event
Orthros (Matins) begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m.
The Feast of the Dormition commemorates the peaceful falling asleep of the Virgin Mary and her translation into eternal life with her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. The Orthodox Church honors the Theotokos as the Mother of God and a model of faith, humility, and obedience to God’s will.
We invite you to join us in prayer and worship as we celebrate this sacred feast and give thanks for the intercessions of the Most Holy Theotokos.
