Holy Pascha – Agape Vespers Service
The Agape Service on Pascha Sunday is a joyful and festive continuation of the Resurrection celebration. Unlike the midnight service, this one takes place in broad daylight, with the church filled with light, color, and the scent of flowers. The atmosphere is bright and celebratory, as the faithful gather once more to proclaim: “Christ is Risen!”
During the service, the Gospel reading is proclaimed in multiple languages, symbolizing the universal message of the Resurrection and Christ’s victory over death for all people. The clergy wear brilliant Paschal vestments, and the congregation often brings candles once more, continuing the joy of the Resurrection.
