Make Sack Lunches for the Needy

Interfaith Ministries distributes 300+ sack lunches a day to those in need. Help us make about 200 of those lunches all in one day!

In honor of the MLK holiday, as an act of service, we will meet in Pappas Hall at church and assemble sandwiches and bagged lunches to be delivered to Interfaith Ministries.

Because we are working with food items, those making the sandwiches will be required to wear masks, hairnets, and gloves.

Protective gear is not required for those working with pre-packaged items but feel free to wear a mask, etc. if you are more comfortable doing so.

If you want to donate food items we need the following:

• Bread loaves
• Peanut Butter
• Jelly
• Lunch meat
• Sliced Cheese
• Packaged condiments (mayo, mustard)
• Applesauce cups or fruit cups
• Cuties
• Lunch size bags of chips
• Small bags of cookies
• Soft/Chewy granola bars
• Juice boxes
• 8oz bottles of water (small size to fit in the bags)
• Sandwich bags
• Napkins
• Large lunch bags (because we are packing them full)

If you prefer to donate money for the purchase of food items please write “Sack Lunches” in the memo of your check or donate online “in honor of sack lunches”.
